Provincial Grand Mark Lodge of Northumberland

Welcome to the website of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Mark Master Masons of Northumberland.

The Province, comprising of thirty three Mark Lodges and sixteen Royal Ark Mariner Lodges, was constituted in 1870. There are almost 1000 Mark Master Masons in Northumberland with meetings being held in several towns in Northumberland as well as in a number of Masonic halls in Newcastle.

Freemasonry is the second largest charity donor in Great Britain and a number of fund raising events are held every year within the province. The money raised along with regular donations by members is given to support a range of local non-masonic charities. For example at a social in Wallsend Masonic Hall in April over £400 was raised on the night. This was matched with money from the Northumberland Mark Benevolent fund and a cheque for £840 presented to representatives of the North East group of Parkinsons UK.

LATEST NEWS

Please find attached the Registration and Dining form for the annual investiture meeting of Mark Grand Lodge.  This will be held at Freemasons Hall Great Queen Street on the 12th June, 2012.  The meeting will commence at 3.00 pm, with dining commencing around 6pm  and finishing around 7.30.

 

It is the Pro Grand Masters wish that as many Mark Masons as possible attend the meeting.  For clarification any Mark Mason of any rank is eligible to attend and can return the registration form to me, they do not need a Grand Officer to book them in.

 

The Summons and Minutes will be dispatched in the normal way in due course.

 

Please could you distribute this form to all members of your Provinces, Districts and Lodges.  I am happy to receive applications via E Mail or post, but must request that all applications are received by the 1st June, 2012.  Multiple bookings will be charged as such and any payments will be cashed.
